Camera talk 101: How to get background blur in your photos

Wondering how to get beautiful, buttery smooth background blur or “bokeh” in your photos?

there are three main ways to do this

——

👉🏼👉🏼lens choice

Get a telephoto lens- like a 55-250 or ideally a 70-200.

The more zoomed in you are to your subject, the more blur you have!

——

👉🏼👉🏼Distance from background

Simply gave your subject move away from the background a significant amount.

Avoid just having them stand against the wall!

Look for leading lines, trees or interesting textures far off in the distance

👉🏼👉🏼Aperture

Get your lens to open up as big as you can. Get a 50mm 1.8 and open it up all the way to 1.8 to get the biggest blur!
